Re: E38 non communicative ECU

O.k. so I tried CATS & it unlocks fine & identifies calibration & doesn't identify VIN but ignore that & go to program & get a similar programming error & retries 3 times & then gives up, I then tried Fermec software for eeprom area & immo & just show's 00 for al...

Re: VF Commodore Steering Rack

What would be interesting is if we can get a hold of a calibration file for it & if we could adjust what it needs to recieve/transmit on the main canbus. Just about every late model ecu would transmit the main engine parameters. Wheel speed data would come from the EBCM, but if you have another...

Re: Relatively inexpensive PowerPC debugger?

Looks like the Multilink needs another $800 worth of software licenses after you buy the hardware. If USBJTAG doesn't pan out, I may just need to give up on this idea. Yikes.. which software were you looking at?? I believe you can use CodeWarrior to connect and step through code using a multilink fx

Re: VF Commodore Steering Rack

Might help a little:

Code: Select all

0C0 = Wheel rotational data
0C1 = Wheel rotational status
0C5 = Non Rotational Wheel rotational status
1E5 = Steering Wheel Angle Information
337 = Door Handle Status
130 = Theft Status
1F5 = Transmission General Info

I feel like around that 0x70/71 location, was the number or resets.. I think??? Maybe 75/75?

You'd know straight away after doing a reset.

Theres also a counter for how many incorrect immos entered.

Re: Relatively inexpensive PowerPC debugger?

Does anyone know of a relatively inexpensive PowerPC debugger? I've got a few projects with MPC56xx chips, and the code is just too complex to fully work out in Ghidra alone. It doesn't need to be anything fancy. I just need something that can halt the chip, read memory and registers, and step thro...

Re: Ford AU eec-v pcm .bin read options in 2023

I feel like i was using something like PCMFlash or one of those tools that flashed the EECV ecus. This is going back a while when I was working on PWM support but I think that was the one?

I was using a AU ECU on the bench when testing it all out.
