Re: VZ PIM
Yeah it seems the ponyprog is better than gq4 with eeprom write stuff like this… but also need to have a good quality aligator clip! I have 2 Gq4x units, one with firmware version 1.30, the other with 2.20, the one with earlier firmware fails to recognise or flash without errors more times than the...

Re: GQ USB Programmer Software failure?
Cheers mate. Appreciate the help. Hopefully this one keeps working. No probs mate, I'm happy that the time I waste on computers spills over into helping others. On another note, I was thinking after I posted the link to the latest GQ4x installer above, that I'd found a link somewhere to a later bui...

It's Listed on the GQ4x forum as a potential fix for the same issue you were having.immortality wrote: ↑Mon May 20, 2024 8:45 pm
6.39 is not listed on the download site.
Windows defender did not like it, tried to stop me using it.

Re: GQ USB Programmer Software failure?
The latest version of the program for the GQ4x is USBPrgSetup6.39.exe
And out of curiosity, I added a manifest to this latest builds executable to see if it helped, keen to know.

Re: GQ USB Programmer Software failure?
Just tried mine. I used the 6.38v win 7 x64 program and the modded 2.01 usb driver for win10 signed. All works perfect on my laptop. Can you link the download you are using please? I don't see a specific Win 7 x64 except for the Signed driver and that's installing fine as the device manager is reco...

Re: Turning on Digital Speedo - VY VZ OSE Flash

Re: Turning on Digital Speedo - VY VZ OSE Flash
Apparently the above mentioned dash software is a no-no to talk too much about here on the forum so I wont get into too much detail regarding it's potential/fucntionality, just mention what I found to work for me. Firstly, using the wrong version of Common Controls gave me grief regarding functional...

New XDFs for 12202088 Series_2 and 12225074
I've had the need for an XDF for a 12202088 Series_2 OS and found that the only "mostly complete" one was written for the US tunes, being that the units in a lot of entries were written with units based on Deg F or Ft Lbs torque, plus some math calcs were close, not exact, so a couple of m...

Re: Tuner pro "Error-One or more checksums could not be upda
The box in red saves the plugins UUID in to the XDF. So for this checksum to work the matching dll much be available on the system when it loads the XDF. Because you cant see the UUID easily in the XDF or in the DLL it gets hard if your not supplied the XDF with the DLL at the same time, or you don...
