Re: Innovate Wideband placement

Hi Dylan, no its not connected yet. I will be doing that in the coming weeks though. I have a wee problem with my NVRAM and once that is fixed I 'll hook it up so I can log it too. At the moment the dashboard gauge will do. I also have to do a bit more research on which pin to hook it up to so I can...

Re: Innovate Wideband placement

Woohoo fitted my Wideband sensor and gauge today. Managed to get it in the merge of the two front pipes so measuring the whole engine, rapt with that. I even managed to hook up the dimmer function on the gauge so I won't be dazzled at night. All I have to do now is get my NVRAM right and I'm off on ...

Re: Windows 8.1 and delco hacking

Antus the USB 3 ports seem to run everything else I use just not the aldl cable. I might do some more investigation when I get time and see what is going on. Funny how the cable plugged up straightaway to the 2.0 ports, just not the 3 ports

Re: Willem programmer old skool parallel port

Thanks Antus that information is a real help. Thanks Delcowizzid, sometimes my sausage fingers can do untold damage so I will take care! :) No its not an eBay special, it came from one of the users here. Its definitely not soldered in. In actual fact its a really nice looking piece of gear. If it wa...

Re: Windows 8.1 and delco hacking

A quick update and maybe a heads up for users of Windows 8.1. My laptop has 2 USB 3 and 2 standard USB connections. I found that the ALDL cable doesn't work in the USB 3 connections. Not sure why this is though. Since buying the correct cable from Antus I have had no connection issues whatsoever usi...

Re: Innovate Wideband placement

Thanks Biggvl and Holden202T I will try and get it mounted in the merge, probably the best solution as I'm running a single system in a VR V8

Innovate Wideband placement

Another newbie question. I have an Innovate Motorsports wideband that I want to hook up. I've read posts on which pin to use etc and the manual gives me placement details but I'm wondering whether or not it matters whether the wideband is measuring just one bank on a V8 or whether I should mount it ...

Re: Willem programmer old skool parallel port

So with the old school parallel port programmers how does the NVRAM actually fit into it. Does it need desoldering? I take it it is meant to go into the green block with the lever on it? Sorry for the newbie question. I'm just getting my head around all of this. I was hoping to never need the Willem...
