only way I could get it running in a VR auto, connected into the square wave output from PCM > Dash was to put my own pullup resistor on the input side.... might be worth playing with that sort of thing?

my only theory at the moment is that its erroring/bugging out since at keyon there is no oil pressure in the gearbox to trigger any switches, so at keyon, Range sw B would be earthed. maybe try earthing range switch B at keyon then see if the ADX behaves?

you may have made it harder for yourself using a 424.... they must do the idle logic from the range switches... here is a chart. yeah my plastic accumulator in my VY cracked... went and pinched a metal one from an old v6 box I had laying around and stuck that in.

cam phasers generally are a feedback loop sort of thing.... your pcm needs to sense the location of the cam timing first, then increase or decrease duty cycle of cam solenoids till the cam sensor reaches target... a bit complex for a simple flex table.
