Talk about slack...its only taken you just over 1 year.

Magnificent effort Tazzi

Hey Tazzi which state are you in....the geographical type not the mental type :D

If I can lend you an E40 and E38 ecu (if I can find them)will that help you out in any way?

If so PM me.

P.S can you make the SOE logo bigger,I cant make it out.
cheers

I think I might have a VE v6 ecu sorted out for the test bench soon hopefully. But with the info VX_Getrag chucked up with the identifier stuff, might be able to start sooner!

Hahaha, well.. I didnt get much work done till just after July this year.. so really its even less!

Geological state = Good old Western Australia
Mental state.. haha, I swear I almost dream in coding at the moment.

Im hoping, I can actually avoid having the ecus physically for the moment since this "fake pcm" stuff Im doing to the Tech2 seems to be working quite well! But if that fails, finding an E40 and E38 will definately be on the high priority list!

This is the largest I can make that image. My designer hasnt sent me the damn vector/psd of the icon so I cant make it bigger than 64px by 64px!
The image is a little car and gauge with an OBD2 cable wrapping around them :D

Spareecm on ebay usa can be cheaper than local. The guy specialises and has heaps of thrm. Post is the gotcha but its still worth it. He can 'probably' program a bin on if the service no is correct but you want a particular aussie os and vin. Efilive have a compatability matrix for e38 of what os works with what service number. All e38s are not exactly the same (although you would think that is what the e38 designator meant!)
Have you read the FAQ? For lots of information and links to significant threads see here: http://pcmhacking.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=1396

I saw that. Was tipped off to look on the USA ebay and see whats around. But thats exactly it, Im a little unsure on which e38 to get!. Haha, they look exactly the same as the ones for the Holdens... couldnt we just do a "entire flash" on the ecu using a Holden units read? Including the firmware region?

I feel like I can almost see the light at the end of the tunnel haha.
Got the last couple bugs to fix.. I messed up the gauge control movement routine by accident and now when I click on them, they disappear miles away from the screen
I also mucked up the bluetooth detection and "gauge save" feature so for the sake of minimizing time requirements, I will be disabling those two features.

This means that I do not recommend Bluetooth devices to be used, as seen at the beginning of this development thread, it caused the immobilizer to go nuts because the ELM baud rate screwed up!
And secondly, when all gauges/controls are added in the engine menu.. these will not remain on next start up.. So I would not get too fiddly with where you want everything sitting!

*Sigh* Designer lost the damn psd files for the logo. Cant blow the image up, shrink it or pretty much do anything with it. Have to wait a couple days until they get remade..
