NVram delco 808
Re: NVram delco 808
the base tune is what VL400 had installed on nv-ram to suit v8 holden, the comms all came from VL400(usb comms board) as for engine mods its a 308 block bored .040 , 355 billet crank 383 hyp pistons 5.7 I-beam rods , h286 crane cam , stainless roller rockers , manly push rods , max ported vr commodore heads , custom manifold with twin throttle bodies , high volume oil pump ,1 5/8 pacemaker headers into twin 2 3/4 pipes with twin 100 cpi cats. The idle was up in that log as cam was breaking in. Charge circuit ok it was a weak battery , replaced and volts are back up to 13.8v.

Ok, that amount of mods explains a lot. But im not sure what to suggest to track down the comms drop out. If it not the laptop, then it must be some kind of electrical interference, perhaps someone else can suggest what to check.
Have you read the FAQ? For lots of information and links to significant threads see here: http://pcmhacking.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=1396
Re: NVram delco 808
thanks antus , VL400 pm me and with a few emails have worked out it was the usb cord from ecu to laptop , replaced cord with a spare printer cord I had laying around and hey presto no more errors when logging. Now to get to logging and figure out a good tune.
