that's what I figured, I had a feeling I saw the lockout on a t56 mentione previously on a post here and thought the t56 function may be useful to original poster as that's what he has.

I was talking about auto trans when I mentioned inhibitor.
For some reason my mind went from manual to auto :hmm:

I do have a T-56 in the car and would be good to get the reverse lock out working off the computer, I have heard that the ls1 style VSS dosnt work with the 808 ?

The reverse lockout can be controlled using a flex output in 12P.

The speed sensor is a reluctor on the T56, an 808 only supports a hall sensor or square wave input. Converting the reluctor to square wave can be done fairly easily with a small circuit. You could even use a camira ign module to do the conversion.

Thanks for that VL 400, unfortunately I'm a technical retard, is there an article or somewhere I can find out how to do that ? I don't need the speedo in the dash to work as I use the GPS for that but it would be nice for the T-56 VSS to talk to the 808 and also control the lockout. Thanks once again

Hi guys sorry to jack the thread but I'm currently putting a t56 into my factory t5 vs clubby and also am looking for something that will convert the reluctor signal to square wave. How do I wire the camira module to suit this speedo application?
Cheers Rob

dosnt the jarcar speedo corrector kit support reluctor input and square wave output? plus you can adjust it to suit the commodore speedo.

I looked into that unit Jayme but all my research couldn't tell me whether it was able to convert sine to square and plus I've already purchased a speedo corrector box but I could sell it on if the jaycar unit is what I'm after.

I havnt used the function but a jaycar corrector supports reluctor in and hall out. It can also have sort of reluctor out by the looks of the circuit.
