Hi guys ,
Im having trouble with a VT v8 intermittently throwing a dtc 45 rich exhaust code. does anyone know where this lives in the code so i can remove it. The engine is well outside the normal parameters , 383ci big cam , 10 psi boost etc . Just want to remove it alltogether as it comes on once every now or then and is annoying .
Cheers Shane.

Re: VT V8 dtc 45 removal
what code are you running on the motor ? what xdf are you using ?
No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!

it doesn't look like its defined in that XDF ... so unless someone has the information on what address that flag is located im not sure that there is much you can do!

Attached is an XDF with the flags defined. One flag stops the code from being processed or checked, while the other allows the code to be logged but no CEL is displayed.
Obviously the best way would be to try and fix the issue that is causing the rich fault code but this will stop the code!

Re: VT V8 dtc 45 removal
Thanks ,
Believe me if i could fix it from throwing the code i would, but the scope of the xdf and the size of the camshaft while still using a maf (a card style maf in a 4 inch pipe) mean its amazing it runs at all let alone keeping within the original o2 boundarys. Making crazy boosted power with a vt is a great way to turn your hair gray.....
Cheers Shane
