But im hoping this doesnt, it only started happening when i fit a different interior..
You may need to program the bcm for the level of interior you have now.

Another issue may be SRS loop as well.

Tech2 is your friend

dammit, so i purchased the cable for no reason?

i fit a wh leather interior in the car.. dont know if that could be the cause?

there is no software like tech2 is there? if i knew someone with the tool i get them to give it a go.. but I dont want to pay for something that may or may not fix my problem..

surely there is a clear error code command for the vx to try... figured out how to send the commands but the previous supplied command did not work.

so when you replaced the interior did you have to un-plug any air bags or anything like that ? ts possible you may have set the error code from that ? or maybe something isn't re-connected properly ?

disconnected the battery, then disconnected the sensors along side the seat..

new seats were a direct plug in.. so I would think that they should work fine..

If I could find the correct file for efilive it would make my life easy, but unfortunately the supplied file doesnt seem to work.. when error codes are cleared the airbag light doesnt even flick off and back on.. unlike the vt, light will turn off then in a few minutes after running it will turn back on.

must be some code I can send to clear it, unsure if the supplied codes dont work due to it having the 3 screen dash...

prefer to learn how to do it myself than to take it to someone

As a long shot can fire off some malfunction resets to various modules. Using the flashtool send the commands listed below, make sure the auto calculate frame checksum is ticked.

VX SRS - FB,56,0A
VT SRS - FA,56,0A
ABS - F9,56,0A
Dash - F2,56,0A
BCM - F1,56,0A
PCM - F5,56,0A

Couple of questions regarding this, in Tunerpro RT to send these do I simply open my ADX then edit it and add a new send command?
if so do I create a new send command for each one of these?

and where is the "auto calculate frame checksum" - Am i doing something wrong as I dont see that?

am I in the correct area?

also EFILIVE works on the VT and from what i can see the commands to clear errors is "$F5,$57,$0A,$00,$AA" dont know if this makes sence to anyone but wouldnt the VX be something similar?

Tools > Listen to chatter and send custom commands

make sure you go into options first and set the correct serial port and echo settings.

Either flashtool or TunerPro, both will basically do the same thing. Can set TunerPro up like this to calc the checksum on a send command...

any reason why my tunerpro bounces between accurate data and false?

for example tacho bounces from 800rpm - 60000rpm

as you can imagine this is a pain
