No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!

you can buy whinebro (walbro) pumps that are a direct replacement for Holden in tank pumps seen in vn-vs
I'm the director of VSH (Vlad's Spec Holden), because HSV were doing it ass about.

Re: vn v6 turbocharger choice
To the best of my knowledge the vn v8 external pump is the same as the vl turbo pump. (And these cost me nothing)
2 litre surge tank, ordered.
Will look into walbro (lol) intank pump tonight.
Also think I might rip out the a/c when it gets done, just looks like the pump will be in the way.
Would standard (vx) ls1 injectors cut the mustard for up to 10psi? (Mate is wreckin a car and owes me a favor so potential freebie or pass? ) otherwise ill stop being a tight arse and get the dekas now rather than later.
Last but not least for this evening, has anyone successfully squeezed a 3 inch dump pipe out of their engine bay?

Re: vn v6 turbocharger choice
While waiting for my new welder to arrive these came up for sale locally for 100 bucks, theway tge wastegate stream enters the dump pipe worries me but I will be runjing a screamer anyway so no problemo. Its a t4 flange from what the bloke told me and said he sold the turbo to a mate but is going to see if he can get it back on the cheap for me, if not ill be uaing the turbo delcowizzid has reccomended to me being the chinese gt3582 I think it was. Only a small amount of progress this time but hey, inch or a mile?

Re: vn v6 turbocharger choice
Actually found out its the same flange as my mates t3-t4 turbo so its actually a t3 flange. Anyway the bloke got back to me about the turbo that was used with this manifold and dump on another car and he wants 250 bucks for it and as long as its in good nik ill take it.
Question for today, is will I need an upgraded fuel reg when using deka 60's, walbro intank etc? Just dont want to end up building too much pressure in the rail due to the stock reg not flowing enough through the return

Re: vn v6 turbocharger choice
that's not going to be your issue, if anything it will be you need more pressure under boost to cope with the extra fuel demand, that said my brothers v6 turbo is using stock regulator with 15psi boost and deka 80's and had no issues even getting close to their limits!
No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!

Re: vn v6 turbocharger choice
Thats great, pretty much all I needed to know as long as the stock reg will be fine thats great.
I just wasnt sure if the stock reg would be too restrictive with the bigger walbro pump at idle etc.
Fuel setup will consist of
Deka 60's
Walbro intank
And perhaps a 2 litre surge with 2 vn v8 external pumps.
What do you think of those manifolds btw? Not all that great I think but they are thick walled and marked with (1 1/4 STD WP B 055) which I think is sch40 steam pipe.

Re: vn v6 turbocharger choice
in my brothers car we have a walbro intank and that's it, as long as your injector duty cycle is not too high you will be right with what you have!
the manifolds might not be the best design, but neither are my brothers, at the end of the day you have to compromise to fit it all in! they'll work a lot better than no turbo so that's the main thing!
