808 injection onto 4 cylinder
Hi guys. Here's the question.
Can I use vn v6 injection 808 complete to run a 4 cylinder engine.
If I swapped everything and made a trigger wheel, can the memcal be tuned to
Suit? To retain coil packs, not going down the camira route.
I'm pretty good with wiring so I should be right there.
Maybe offer a list of items or personal experience.
Thanks a bunch.

Re: 808 injection onto 4 cylinder
should be no problems but you will have to sort something out for the trigger.
VL400's ignition module would probably be best. On the 808 ignition trigger is controlled entirely by the ignition module.

I'm the director of VSH (Vlad's Spec Holden), because HSV were doing it ass about.

Re: 808 injection onto 4 cylinder
as in a mini motor you may have issues due to the shared middle cylinder inlet runner TBI would be better

Re: 808 injection onto 4 cylinder
what delcowizzid is referring to is the mini has one inlet port that is shared by 2 cylinders, this results in one cylinder getting more fuel than the other ..... if your motor has individual ports and injectors for each then shouldn't be a problem.
No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!

Ok then. It's actually for a friend so I'll have to ask him.
Do u guys think 4 ls1 coils and a 36-1 trigger is the go?

one of these engines?? http://pcmhacking.net/forums/viewtopic. ... ilit=datto
we used a GM 4 cyl coilpack and a trigger wheel on the balancer with 7 notches cut out. connects straight up to the 808. we did go further with it since i stopped updating the thread. we ended up getting a new inlet manifold with individual runners and injectors per cylinder. runs 12 psi now and absolutely flies.

I'd say go more like this thread as VL400s ignition modules (which are needed for 36-1 and ls1 coils) isnt released yet. http://pcmhacking.net/forums/viewtopic. ... =10#p21986
Note that the issues he hit turned out to be a bad ignition module. They're after market and cheap, so recommend getting 2 at the same time so you have a spare. Can drop locally sourced commodore coils on the module.
