Engine conversion. VY engine/gearbox and computer into WB
Re: Engine conversion. VY engine/gearbox and computer into W
Just a reminder i linked the fuel and ignition relays when it was in the Commodore and worked fine
12v on the PCM
12v on the PCM

Ive seen a few times people will find an ignition power then hook it all up.
Then find it turns off when in the cranking position. But that's after lots of frustration.

No voltage at the coils.
Shouldn't this come from pin 19 on the blue plug??

Pretty sure you supply a 12v from the vehicle not the ecu.

Yes you're right.Dylan wrote:Pretty sure you supply a 12v from the vehicle not the ecu.
Anyhow I found a plug that wasn't plugged in, not sure where that came from but it traces back to the coils 12v, had to get a multimeter from work as mine got wet, that's another story. Plugged 12v into the sucker and off it went
No relays so will have to sort that out as everything including fuel pumps is going straight off the battery
Oh and have to put extractors on it, started it straight out the exhaust ports. Bit loud I got to say
Re: Engine conversion. VY engine/gearbox and computer into W
Hi guys
Just wondering with pin 33 on the PCU, I believe its for the high speed fan? Anyhow is this supposed to go high to 12v to turn on the fan relay when the engine coolant/sensor reaches certain temp?
Thanks
Bart

its the ground side of the circuit.
No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!
Just starting out? Have a read of the getting started guide

Hey guys this has been a while haha gee time flies. I think I started this project this time last year
Anyhow the Statesman is going seems o be ok but it doesn't shift gears. It seems stuck in 3rd or 4th. I can manually shift it in low but that's it. No auto shift.
Could this be speed sensor related? I don't have a Speedometer connected yet, im thinking along the lines the PCM needs some feedback from electronic speedometer? Or something like that??
Gearbox is a 4l65E, engine LS1.
Thanks
