vn speed pulse

Post by Fireblade.954 »

hi guys. has anyone ever experienced speed cut out?
ive tried putting 7000 ppk straight into a vn808. from what I believe they have a pulse divider by 5 times from standard.
so at 40kmh the ecu thinks im doing 220kph or so. soon as I take the pulse wire off all is good. bearing in mind I don't have any memcal writing capabilities.
mainly wondering if anyone has experienced it.
thanks guys

On the VN/VP the speed signal went straight to the cluster then divided by ( 5 or ten cant remember) then to the ecu.
On later VR VS model the manual trans went straight to the ecu and the calibration had different PPK to compensate.
So you could either burn another chip or fit a pulse box.

I hace seen this exact problem on a VR fitted with vn ecu and chip. Hit 40k's and fuel cut.

Sick mate that's exactly what I told my mate. I spent his money on a pulse box. Lol
We were pretty drunk when the fuel cut happend so I didn't occur to me at the time. Yeh I thought the vn dash did divide it.
Thanks mate
( I was drunk he was driving naturally......)

High speed cut in factory bins.

12P has this removed.

Get a read of it and have a look. The few generic mail orders ive seen they turn off lots of stuff. Every CEL is flagged, hi speed fuel cut etc
