Im after some help with burning a chip to suit a vs v6, im using a moates burn 2.
The chip is a 29f040b, im able to burn a 28 pin chip with a v8 bin but cant do the 32 pin chip.
The error that comes up is ERROR:PROM I/O returned failure.
I have tried stacking the bin 4 times but the error still comes up.
I am new to this, this is the first time ive have done this .
Im not sure at all what the chip addressing and buffer addressing means.
If someone could offer some advise it would be appreciated. Thanks

I know nothing of the moates hardware but the error sounds like your setup is not configured for the chip you are using or not capable of doing such a chip.
No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!

The burn 2 is supposed to support that chip, its also possible that its not seated the right way around in the burner (theres a notch or a mark on one end of the chip, as a point of reference). The burn2 manual or software should provide more info.
