VP Aftermarket Memcal Help

Post by Dylan »

I have a memcal here labeled VP. Its off a V6. I have a read here but i cant get any of the factory XDF's to display any usefull info.
Possibly custom code which really suprises me.

My GQ4X says its a M26C256B. I will post the BIN up and hopefully someone can help me get some info out of it.
Ive been ask to tune this car and this is what theyre running now. Car is not registered and dyno time is not an option at the moment
so to prevent going backwards id love too see what I have here.

All help appreciated.

I originally read it as a 128k chip. It read ok without errors. Then used the ID function on the GQ4X software and it said the M26C256B. So read it as that. Worth me posting the 16k bin?

Whats it physically look like? Might be copy protected. There seems to be a big chunk of data missing where i'd expect the code to be. That would also throw the1's id tool off. 256kbit is 32kbyte so the size is correct.

if its a copy protected one, you might be able to put it in an aldl enabled 808 and use the flashtool to grab the tune. thats how I generally download the tune from copy protected memcals.

Could be the car this memcal came from is a NOS Sprint racing car. The bin is the official NOS Sprint bin for methanol injectors. It is 100% intact byte for byte. Also uses High speed data (8192). Has no injector BPW adjustment in data settings. Better off converting this to 12P.
