LSX Serial Data Bus to Delco Signal

Post by Vpgts076 »

Hi Guys,

Is there a way of converting a LSx PCM to output a Delco compatible signal?

Thanks

nope. the yellow/black in a VP is the fuel usage signal output... all it does is sends a PWM signal to the dash for the amount of fuel being used so the dash can display the L/100 k's and Liters of fuel used etc on its LCD screen. they are the only funcitons you lose by not having it hooked up.

Does a LSx ECU have PWM fuel usage output?

Is there a way of mimicking this output? Maybe via a circuit?

The other option would be to run the ls1 off the stock delco, with one of vl400's ignition modules. I think pretty much everything should plug right in as far as the engine goes. It'd take some tuning but would be a pretty cool project. Would just need to watch the compatibility of the temperature senders and adjust in the tune if they are different (or swap to stock sensors). TPS would be fine and the ignition module would handle the ls1 cas and coils. Injectors would be fine. Remove the MAF. Im not saying you should do this, just throwing it out there as an idea. If the car is a VP you shouldnt loose any body functionality.
