But if its already a 424 why not just use $11p and copy spark/ve tables from the closest $12p tune you can find then tune from there ??
I see no real benefit from going to an 808 ??

No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!

Yeah I totally agree with ^^above^^ saves having to worry about converting 808 to usb comms too!

Only reason would be the speed sensor, but that is no show stopper either. Far easier to leave the '424 installed!

If its a SFT profile i have a tune in the 12P custom tune thread that would be worth a look.

As mentioned a few times in this thread, 11P is for the '424 PCM. Link in the second post .. http://pcmhacking.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=3798big cams wrote:i thought the $12P and $11p don't work on the vs v8 autos where would i find the $11p
Have a look at the 12P tuning guides by holden202t in his signature, they are relevant to 11P as the engine control section is almost identical.big cams wrote:is there a guide on exactly what to do when u change settings on the bin file as in if u change the Idle spark advance do u have to change main spark advance, spark reference angle, air fuel ratio, ect i know u have to change a few but not sure exactly what one go with what

MAF was only on VS series 3 and later V8s. Yours being an earlier VS series is MAP based.big cams wrote:all so what and how do u change it to a mafless tune??

I suggest you spend some time reading some other threads on here about similar cars and cams, use the search function to find them. I would say you mean mafless, which means use map instead, which is what you already have. You should be able to learn the basics from spending some time reading.
Have you read the FAQ? For lots of information and links to significant threads see here: http://pcmhacking.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=1396
