I'll have a look. What wideband conttoller are you running?
Have you been able yo verify it's reading correct in the logs?

Is the tune in 12P? If so play with the scaler wideband 0 and 5 volt to get it spot on.
I've neber used that brand but id say it cqn output fixed readings so you can dial it in.
Get both ends of the range right 10afr and 20afr.

Just throwing it out there but how can you tune a motor with a dead cylinder ? I'd fix that problem 1st, is it bottom end or heads causing no comp ?

I strongly agree with HQ355 you must get the engine mechanical right before trying to tune. The dead cylinder could well be the cause of lean air fuel ratios. I looked at you log and you don't have much manifold vacuum so fix the compression issue and post another log.

Completely agree.
Make sure the basics are right first
Ie. Fix the missing compression, and make sure it's mechanically good.

A tune cannot tune out a mechanical fault

Then make sure everything else is right aswell
Ie. All sensors are reading correctly
You have calibrated your wideband
Fuel filters not blocked, fuel pressure is good.
Ignition system is good (eg. Plugs arnt rooted or you have a bad lead or something)

Only then worry about the tune
Otherwise your going to have a bad time

I've been tuning this engine. There is something majorly wrong with it. I suspect with the new heavily shaved supposedly heads and YT rockers, the valve train geometry it all buggers and possibly holding the intake valve open on No. 6 which would explain the ridiculously extreme MAT temps and the idle instability. It idles at around 80Kpa and the cam isn't that big to cause that issue.

Also he said the engine makes a loud rattle when backing off? and is there in all rpm? Well that might explain the extreme false knock being detected. I had to max the ignore table just to be able to make it drivable.

The original state of the tune was so bad, it basically didn't run, bit hard to run on 10 AFR and 8º of timing lol

Once I got it as best as I could it still went slower than stock and he said it jerks a lot. Its apparent there is major problems with it. Needs to be fixed before any tuning is done, Haven't even seen this car in real life but by the 3-4th tuning attempt I saw there was issues.

There was a lot of stuff I had to fudge to make it even drivable which I had never had to do on all the other hotted up engines.
I'm the director of VSH (Vlad's Spec Holden), because HSV were doing it ass about.
