Can anyone please help?
VS v6 auto conversion, I want to calibrate speedo using the pcm original speedo output only. ATM we use the output with a ratio box from jaycar but need 2 to get the speedo accurate as one doesn't change pulses enough on its own.
I have modified the "road speed sensor constant pulses per/km" and gone to the extreme from 1016p/km to 56,000p/km and no change in speedo accuracy.
Am I modifying the correct parameter or is there something else? What does vss ratio-speed constant for automatic transmission change? hoping someone has done this and can point me in the right direction.
Thanks

Re: pcm speedo pulse count calibration
Going to assume standard 4l60e transmission? What diff ratio? What was your previous transmission? Did you use a standard V6 Automatic wiring loom?
Using a standard V6 tune with the factory PPK value should see the correct speed unless you have altered the diff ratio.

4.33 diff ratio, std t700 but dash cluster isn't holden it's Toyota. I can get speedo correct using ratio box's but don't want this. Was assuming there is a pulse output I can change to suit. Running off pcm speedo output C5 violet with white trace. like I said it works with ratio box's but that's big and bulky and hard to find a nice hiding place. I would have thought pulse per km was the correct parameter to modify for diff ratio changes etc. I'll try output ratio as well see how it goes I guess.

The ppk etc in the pcm will only change what the pcm sees.
It will not change output to dash, you will need correction box for this.

Re: pcm speedo pulse count calibration
ok so I should change the ppk for the 4.33 ratio I have now anyway as that will upset all shift points and shift early? What pulse count should I see for 4.33 ratio and 245/40/18, or how can I work it out? Kinda sux there is no output ppk adjustment. Thanks for the help so far.

Re: pcm speedo pulse count calibration
and will I need to change ppk or just vss ratio?

Re: pcm speedo pulse count calibration
Had a quick look as on my way out but by doing some quick math in my head it should be around 2400 in the ppk setting.
