first time tuning

Post by siktrk »

Ive posted a few bit of posts on this page and everyone has been helpful

Hopefully the motor and everything will be running today
Its a vp manual with a vr motor with a t70 turbo bolted on and running 42lbs injectors

First things first how should i approach this on tunerpro and adjust boost according to the timing

I've never tuned a boosted motor but first up set the map sensor so either 2 or 3 bar depending on your boost level.
Then set the injectors up. Injector rate of 0.30 should be good with a rising rate fuel reg of course. Then set the opening times and add on times.

Is it a stock motor otherwise?

Have a read of the Advanced tuning guide - it describes where to start with tuning boost

Scrap the old motor in the end did you? Stock motors have worked well for others on boost in the past.
