VP V8 BT1 CONVERTED TO MANUAL WITH VS V8 ECU
Re: VP V8 BT1 CONVERTED TO MANUAL WITH VS V8 ECU
Well since manual conversion my vp computer has been playing up won't drop revs keeps holding them when it starts they bounce between 1500 to 900 rpm and my fuel consimption was beyond a joke so I got the vs 808 online but it still won't drop any lower than 850 and still sometimes comes up to 1000rpm
I'm located south coast nsw nobody around here seems to have any clue including the mechanics and auto elec's

Auto might have more IAC steps on the throttle crack table (can't remember the name)

Best off to get a new tune done up in 12P anyway. Especilly if it has any mods. Better power and economy and it's based on a a factory manual tune too.

VP V8 runs an 808 doesn't it? I thought that you just ground pin B10 and that will make the manual idle tables work? Thats what I did on mine anyways and it worked a treat.
Re: VP V8 BT1 CONVERTED TO MANUAL WITH VS V8 ECU
Yeah as explained earlier in the thread, some of the V8 808 Auto bins had rather high values in the Manual Idle table.
Wayhard69 - if we knew the 4 letter memcal code we could look it up and see what that bin uses for idle tables.

Yeah 808 is it ground or leave ungrounded I'm on my phone. If you had s proper manual trans patch loom id guess that will be taken care of.

B10 to ground for park/ neutral or grounded all the time for manual.
and the Gy wire also goes to the start relay too ... so it will start in any gear in a manual.

No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!

It's grounded everything works just a high idle and taking a while to come down in revs I've tried 3 different memcals and the lowest idle I can get is 850 900 I don't know how to tune it myself otherwise I would

That's a vn vp 808 ecu. Try closing the butterfly a bit maybe the stop screw is stopping it.

Yep and the 4 letter code doesnt seem to be on the aftermarket sticker. Need to remove the screws on the side holding the cap on and read it off the memcal.
