VT Memcal type ECM --> VX (non Memcal)

Post by psyolent »

Hiya

Anyone know if I disable VATS in the Memcal in the VT ECM, whether I can use the VT ECM in my VX?
Wondering whether the two ECUs are pin compatible between the two?
Cheers,

What's the trouble with running the VX PCM? I've flashed them before haven't bricked one yet.
A quality interface seems to be the trick. The VX PCM is very capable with the enhanced code on it.

The 1 did a spread sheet that shown you how to make a patch loom to use a memcal style vt vx series 1 pcm in a vx series/vy two but you need to run a vx bin file.

Its very easy to disable vats on your vx pcm with the flash tool.

never mind. you need the USB adaptor which i bought from Ryan on here. And Tunerpro. Man. Some days my brain is seriously not in gear.

You need tuner pro to make the changes and the flash tool to flash the PCM.

Make sure you read the instructions on flash PCMs before doing anything though! Linked from the flashtool thread .. http://pcmhacking.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=82
