I have done similair on my own car. I run a VS V8 manual loom on my VR. Only difference was a 12 volt supply in the engine bay connector was on a different pin. Just re pinned and all was good. Think it was reverse light supply.

There are differences in VR looms. Ignore Series 3 VS, as suggested by The1, because it matches the VT V8. However you need to look at where the connectors are for the VR as there are differences. Series 1 has the connections near the battery, series 2 has them near the brake booster. So you need to find a VS loom that matches your VR connections location.

EDIT: Had to correct a minor point.
EDIT 2: ebay search has a few VR looms http://www.ebay.com.au/sch/i.html?_from ... m&_sacat=0

From my experience all VR connect near the battery and all VS connect at booster. The VS loom in my VR is meant to connect at the booster but it reaches the battery end no worries. Even runs around front of motor as per VR.
