Sorry to dig this up but car still in pieces and haven't been able to try this but also how do I get that up to try and configure it on my pc atm?

Thats in ose flash tool. It patches the bin code, and patches the XDF to give you an XDF that knows what has changed. You need to update the OS after patching your bin for the changes to be active. I think there may also be a flag to turn on the scheduled message output, but I am not sure off the top of my head. Its not a commonly used feature.

yeah doesn't seem like a common thing as most people take the easy way out, engine bay is getting rewired when it goes back together so you wouldn't even notice
