Yeah he thought I was trying to do more burnouts, I was actually trying to get it up the step in the concrete, which apparently doesn’t work when the back tyres are popped hahaha

LOL! Considering that shed is clearly visible from the highway, it's a wonder over the years a passer-by with good intent hasn't reported a shed fire!

Re: What to do with an old flogged out VZ SV6 Ute
Over the years i've bought a few bosch pumps and in every case i have removed the stadnard fitting and put some speedflow adaptor in them...... i knew there was a reason i kept them, because one of them finally came in handy ........ with a few mods!
driled out the one way valve, put a nut on top and welded it on which also closed the hole in the top, and viola i have a banjo fitting for the turbo oil feed.
I also drilled a hole into the turbo and fitted a barb in there that will give the wastegate boost reference down the back, and yes they are cheap chinese fittings that came with the wastegate
I then moved my attention to the turbo sump, and promptly set about using up all the off cuts i have collected over the years
the top fitting is a breather pipe and the bottom one is the scavange pipe, and as you can see i've made the fitting approx 5mm off the base of the sump to make sure if there are any "foreign objects" they stay in there hopefully.
Pretty much now over then getting a few vacuum hoses and such, all that is left to do is the inlet piping.

Fitted the sump breather, i got given this filter, its like a diff breather for heavy machinery, perfect for my needs!
drilled a few holes to fit it and allow air to get through into it.
Also got another chance to use my rivnut set!
Got the scavenge pump mounted and a hose to the breather filter - i was able to use up a heap of speedflow fittings that are spares from previous projects/changes.
i got a thick plate of steel welded to the bottom of the sump, then used my step drill to put a nice seat into it for an injector seal to fit into, then with the washers on there is a perfect seal.
I filled it with oil an found two pin hole leaks so got to fix them, but other than that its all sorted pretty much.
just need to work out a few adaptors for the turbo -> engine inlet pipe, and then we're getting pretty close to a test run!
