Re: My 91 Vn Calais
Deck is only 1" higher, not a huge variation in width

Re: My 91 Vn Calais
looks to be about 1.5-2" wider looking at my engines side by side.
could always mill a fair chuck off the top of a standard manifold and weld a plate for the M90, maybe mill it only enough so the stock rails are left in place. would be a bit tall but should be doable.

I'm the director of VSH (Vlad's Spec Holden), because HSV were doing it ass about.

Swap in a 5L, and when you get bored add a turbo. No replacement for displacement

Re: My 91 Vn Calais
I've got a couple of manifold sitting around, I'll put a ruler across em later if I get a chance.
edit:
flipping the manifolds over and measuring the base where the valley seal sits.
Ecotec ~167 mm
3800 V6 ~185 mm

Re: My 91 Vn Calais
yeah I measured just before, ecotec from top of head flange = 270mm pre eco 295mm. 1" exactly pretty much. Makes sense given 2 x 45º= 90. 1" x 2 then trigonometry should be 0.747.." at the deck, then further up the heads should be very close to 1" if my crappy maths is correct.

Re: My 91 Vn Calais
yeah its a pretty useless group, I don't look at it much, I deleted all the other holden groups from my list, just useless dickheads. Especially the buy/swap/sell ones.
I've always used penrite oil and even got a analysis of old oil done to check for wear, there was none and the anti wear additive chemicals were at good high levels like they claimed so I swear by them now.
