Haven't got a wideband have you? Use up half that 91 and fill up with 98.
Should give you a tank of 95 octane ??? Or is that just desperate.

No, No wideband. All stock.

That tillgoodpetrol .bin, Use that with the current tank of 91?, If so, Ill load it up tomorrow.
Or use half 91, Top off with 98 then use tillgoodpetrol .bin?

Just curious, Ive always heard of the 98oct tune, What would happen if you were to use a 98oct tune and use 91?

Load that tune for now. A 98 tune would have more spark advance.
If you ran that on 91 you would get lots of knocking. On these ecotecs you have knock sensors that will detect that (after it's happened) and start working off the low octane table losing performance and efficiency. But saving your engine.
Do that on a motor with no knock sensors and you will eventually smash a piston.

Look into a wideband get this thing dialled in spot on. There's some funny AFR's in there from Holden.
Don't know how accurate the MAF sensor is on these.

Go to www.14point7.com look at the spartan 2.

I didn't turn vats off on any of those. Best do that if that's how you're doing it.

Oh ok, Yeah, Im using VATS off ATM, I can do that. No problems.
Ill load up the tillgoodpetrol .bin tomorrow and ill let you know how it goes! Kind of excited!. First ever stray from stock.

I always heard there were small gains to be had from the stock holden tunes. They always tune on the conservative side of things, But never had the chance to do anything about it.
Was always told, Oh the stock flash PCM's in the vx-vy are locked and no one can get into them, You'll need to spend $3000 on a aftermarket system if you want to do anything...

Then i found this site, And the cable. And its so easy!, Was kinda shocked at how easy it was, Thanks to some peoples hard work and effort!.
Bit of a rant. But yeh.

Thanks Dylan!

Here is a LOG i did a about 2 weeks ago.
Its a long one, As it was about a 30min drive, But i noticed about 3min30. All the knock go red except for cyl2.

Is this normal?

This was with original PCM. Taken a few weeks ago.

Dylan. I know you said watch for knock when i load the untillgoodfuel .Bin, SO thought id see what normal knock would look like on a stock tune. Then it all turned red? Normal?
If this amont of knock appears on untillgoodfuel .Bin, Is that OK?

I've honestly never tuned a car with a knock sensor only the old V8's I've done.
Hopefully someone can look at it who has. I wouldn't expect much knock on the factory tune though.
