Re: Electronics Australia DELCO articles

I have repaired a couple over the years. Most common problem is dry joints causing intermitent operation. If you are desperate, the transistor of a VK EST module (also made by Bosch) works fine, and is not worth much on Ebay etc. Another source for the transistors are the Bosch modules that look lik...

Re: VT and vy V6 XDF

Well put Justin,
Many of us have skills/information that we could charge for, however, there is always a lot more to learn, and the more information we throw into the pool, the better off we will all be.
I gain much greater satisfaction from helping out fellow enthusiasts.

Re: JE Oil pressure switch - WHY ?

Yeah, the analog calibration for a 202 would be pretty rough.

Re: JE Oil pressure switch - WHY ?

The oil pressure switch is actually for backup fuel mode when the ECU is dead and not controlling outputs. The analog backup fuel controller can't drive the fuel pump relay so it relies on oil pressure to enable the pump. Cranking times will be longer in this mode while oil pressure builds. The O.P....

Re: Does anyone have a JE Camira Wiring Diagram ?

Another good source for Camira ignition modules and sensors are 90's Daewoo's. My local pick a part has dozens of them.
Harnesses from these things may be worth a look also. Basically a Camira engine, different ECU with similar pinout to an 808.

Re: OSE $12P Teaser

Hey VL400,
How much different is the soft touch rev limiter to the standard limiter?
The basic limiter is that crude that conrods/bolts would probably be better off with a bit of an over rev. At least they would not be going through cycles of full power, no power, full power etc. at peek revs.

Now we have to find someone who knows a bit about $12 code (and it's variants)

Re: Logging to an SD Card or SPI EEPROM Internally to the ECM

Just had a thought. If we invert a PLCC socket over the MCU, we get easy access to all of the pins required for a Serial EEPROM conversion. The socket is a nice fit. 6 wires to the chip, cut the I/O trace on the main board. Job done. 128K logger for under 20 bucks! Would also be a nice solderless wa...

Re: Logging to an SD Card or SPI EEPROM Internally to the ECM

As the only reference to these bits is the DDR register, we should be able to use one/both of the 2 pins configured as inputs safely. It is interresting that these 3 I/O bits are connected to the FMD, Quad drivers and a pin marked as "poweroff" on the PSU IC. I wonder if this was used for ...

Re: Nintendo DS logger?

You are right again VL400. Most of my other 808's give external access to the unused I/O pins. I have a 25LC1024 SPI EEPROM on it's way. 128K bytes. 10 bytes at 10 samples per second = ~20 minutes worth of logging. 10 bytes should cover the basics. Would be nice to trim it down a bit to extend the l...
