Re: 92 CPI Blazer BLM cells
well, I am using TP4 and there is nothing showing idle flag. Here's what I do know from looking at the data. My 92 blazer idles in cell 4, so it makes me wonder if the truck should be in the idle cell which would be cell 16. I have looked at data logs from a 93 blazer and his idles in cell 16. From ...

92 CPI Blazer BLM cells
Hi, This is my question, from what I have read there are 16 BLM cells. In addition there are 3 more cells used for idle, braking and CCP. Starting with cell 0 - 15 these are used for normal driving conditions, 16 is used for idle, 17 is used for braking and 18 for CCP. So, here's what I have noticed...

Re: Parallax USB-RS232 converter (DIY ALDL ODB1 cable)
Update: It works finally. The deal is I had a diode on the TX line of the max circuit for one way transmission. Decided to take that diode off and now it works. Re: Parallax USB-RS232 converter (DIY ALDL ODB1 cable)
Well, the max circuit between the OBD1 and Parallax circuit returned a failed connection in TP4. I was able to get a connection in TP5, but was getting the strange cycling data. I am just about to say "F" this~

Re: Parallax USB-RS232 converter (DIY ALDL ODB1 cable)
Here's a bit of an update.... I have been posting at the TP forums and haven't had much success getting answers. I also have been exchanging emails with robert saar, he's been really helpful. I have concluded the parallax USB to serial converter and TP4 doesn't like the 2 transistor ALDL to serial c...

Re: Parallax USB-RS232 converter (DIY ALDL ODB1 cable)
Now the problem is TP4 can't connect to the ECM. I am using the Max232 / 2 transistor setting on 10hz - com port is still 4.
This is frustrating, lol, this DIY isn't for the short attention span people~

Re: Parallax USB-RS232 converter (DIY ALDL ODB1 cable)
I did some searching for a copy of TP4 and came up with a goose egg. On the TP website they don't offer TP4 download, so any ideas where to get a copy?
Gave it a try yoda and nada, the item list, engine speed is just cycling values from 0 - 4500. All the other values are jumping around too.

Re: Parallax USB-RS232 converter (DIY ALDL ODB1 cable)
Well, it hooked up on the first try but there were a ton of errors. The data logging isn't making much sense either, the values are way out of spec. So, I shut it down and opened up TP and connected again and same thing but no error the second time but the values are off the chart. Also the TP dash ...
