Re: VR V8 fuel pressure regulators

Thanks for a comprehensive reply Easy, I have many of these suggestions already written, as it frequently comes up again. a lot of the liquid filled gayges read wrong by 10psi or more and then they get hot and the oil in the gauge expands and makes them read out as well Absolutly correct !! They're...

Re: Ida Pro help

I often use a 68HC11 disassembler called DHC11 and it's re-assembler ASHC11. Find them attached. It's only small but very powerful. Unfortunatly it's DOS based, but will happily run under a command window or DOSBox. It doesn't have the bells and whistles that IDA has, so it may suit a beginner As AN...

Re: VR V8 fuel pressure regulators

There will be tune problem and possibly a fuel system issue, as a 4psi change should not change mixtures so radically. Maybe 1 afr point change, but you've nearly 4 !!! So......... Have you monitored injector duty to see if there is a marked change when your mixtures move from 13 to 16.9 ?. Is close...

Re: Customizing SiLabs CP210x devices for ALDL Communication

I realize that I could do it '13 steps less' BUT there's method in the madness. Requesting the prescale via DLL calls DOES NOT stop it auto baud adjusting!!!. If you try, after each read of the port, you need to RESEND the prescale. You must physically lock the BRG to the desired speed . Go have a g...

Update :- Full Driver installer

I have an update for the VCP drivers.

Here is a self installing version which should extract the drivers to a selected folder.

There are versions for Win98/XP/Vista and WIN2000

Customizing SiLabs CP210x devices for ALDL Communications

After HUGE frustrations not being able to comunicate using a SIlabs CP210x USB to UART chipset and my car's computer, I've found a way to customize the chips. The main concern with these devices is that they 'auto translate' non standard baud rates to a common speed. I.E. If the device is selected f...

Re: Algorithm for Seed Key

The bin file from the Dodge RAM ecm might be a little difficult to get - and then utilize. The data files that dodge use are decrypted during reflash operations (the onboard e2proms are 'scrambled' too, just for extra fun). Dodge employ very few data tables and rely on active modeling of the engines...
