Re: 202 FE Holden/Delco Conversion

Holden202, thanks for the advice on my 202. To answer your questions. I am using new V6 injectors, and engine compression is standard (new unleaded valves - not ported/polished), am running 98 Octane Premium Unleaded fuel. I am guessing that vacuum would be about the same as yours at idle, so your t...

Re: 202 FE Holden/Delco Conversion

I agree! I need a burn, to holden202s bin from his 202 to my VR auto memcal But first, before I do anything I have to verify my engine spec with holden202s engine specs and his posted bin for this engine. And it is definitely will be a temporary measure until I get proper tune. I my engine spec is, ...

Re: 202 FE Holden/Delco Conversion

Thanks for the super fast reply VL400 I would like to take you up on the remote Memcal Tuning Option, and will put together my current engine mechanical spec as a comparison with 'Holden 202' previously posted details. With respect to: Yep, all the commodore memcals have an EPROM so can be erased an...

Re: 202 FE Holden/Delco Conversion

Couple of new problems have come up. We have not got the car out of the garage, but in running it (up to temp) to test wiring of thermo fans, AC, and other switching, we have fouled up 2 sets of plugs, because motor is running too rich (standard ECM setup > 202 has XU1 like cam and low vacuum). I ha...

Re: 202 FE Holden/Delco Conversion

Bosch Pulse Generator: I have viewed the topic, altered the number to BCS 803 and still not getting anywhere at Repco Did a google search and came up with: Bosch Ignition Modules apps.bosch.com.au/motorsport/downloads/ignitionmodules.pdf This pdf shows a few items that visually look like the part: T...

Re: 202 FE Holden/Delco Conversion

Guys, Camira Distributor Parts: I looked up Bosch, when I could not see the parts at Supacheap, they have advised that BIM148 is available, but they did not recognize part number BSC803. I have ordered BIM148 - Bosch Ignition Module from Repco, and now need some clarification on the other part "...

Re: 202 FE Holden/Delco Conversion

Taking on board advice received to date, and before I jump in a new/proven direction, am I correct in assuming that the following works. (As at this time I am thinking VR ECM/PCM with the 202, because I want the stalk based wipers dwell, cruise control, etc.) 1. That a locked (mechanical advance) VK...

Re: 202 FE Holden/Delco Conversion

Further to advice/comment from Holden202, the project appears to be still doable. It now seems to me that I should take Option 2 of the 3 offered by Holden202 ie. 2. go with an earlier one like VR etc and be able to do what you want alot easier and still retain the features you want. The overall log...
