Re: UPLOAD FAILED errors
Glad it worked, excellent. VS S3 differences strike again! That does make me wonder what PCMs the VS setting is needed for then. Yours is service number 16234531? Which is the same service number as the VT? The earlier VS with the ECM NVRAMs don't take that NVRAM board at all, and there was a reason...

Re: OBD port wiring VT VX HELP please!!
Just connect the battery pin, both ground pins to the car and ALDL (pin 9) to the computer. Look at the wiring diagram from the donor car that had that PCM service number to see which pin for ALDL which is also sometimes called "Serial Data".

Re: UPLOAD FAILED errors
Yes, you can run dbgview at the same time and when it is monitoring it'll show debug messages from all apps. oseplugin outputs detailed information about the communcations there. I think i've got it though, the penny just dropped in my head. Even though its a VS, Because its a S3 as evidenced by the...

Re: UPLOAD FAILED errors
What setting did you change? Is this when you make the change, or are you running a verification? Its been a long time, but I don't think the verification function is often used, and it could be that 0x2000 is part of RAM or EEPROM and maybe the verification function itself doesn't work on that PCM ...

Re: .Net 8, cross platform, and Windows 7/8
Yeah ok, polling and displaying OSID and PCM Type as soon as we get a response is nice. We'll need to review the timeout and retry code. I think some interfaces will take possibly up to 2 seconds to respond if there is no reply. This could even be a reason to implement a communications state machine...

Re: .Net 8, cross platform, and Windows 7/8
Thats a good start. I'd be tempted to swap the first and second row buttons, so you have "get pcm info" as the first button, and "read pcm" as the next on the top row. Next file would then be settings and write pcm (so that read and write are next to each other, on the right hand...

Just going to mention that I've confirmed my Jackaroo PCM on this platform is talking some variant of J1850VPW and I can see data monitoring that protocol.

Re: VS S3 Ute - MAF to MAP
Yeah thats right. Its not just the sensor, VS S3 has the VT engine, PCM etc. Possibly VT BCM but I am not sure on that. It seems was Holden doing to the typical move to the new platform in the old body, then I assume they were thinking if it turns to shit, they trash the outgoing models reputation a...

Re: Turbo 304 massive over fuel event
if you can catch it when its doing it and have a laptop connected and try logging the PCM you'll know if the nvram is running properly or not. If you are getting a smooth feed of data without interruption while its happening its not crashing and over fueling in backup fuel mode. If the data stops wh...
