Re: Trying to monitor the data bus with an ELM327
ELM327 2.1 could be anything... I am not going to say that what you are trying to do won't work, there is every chance that it will work to some degree. But just a note to say ELMs and ELM clones and ELM alternative implementations generally do not do a very good of monitoring the bus, if at all. If...

Re: VR Ute
For bluetooth get a cheap bluetooth to fm device from ebay (the cheap ones seem to be better than brand name ones from a store) and plug it in the cig lighter, or add a hidden cig lighter connector and put it all behind the dash. Then leave the stereo on the FM channel the BT module is retransmittin...

Re: Can't find a large ID concentric slave, do they even exist?
I know nothing about concentric slaves but from a bit of a google I found https://apracing.com/race-car/slave-cylinders/push-type-slave-cylinders/cp3959-family-interchangeable-with-saab-900-cylinder which looks like it might be what you want with 50mm ID option if im reading it right. And says saab ...

Re: tool to sniff out pids?
This stuff on can bus is not gm specific, so you probably can use the same tools. Otherwise if you know what you want you can use universal patchers logger tool and set up the filters so you get what you want and are not overwhelmed with data. Even if you want vpw data universal patcher can show you...

Ill leave this for now because its good general advice for any software, but please support the original companies that make this software. If I change my mind or we receive complaints i'll delete the thread. This forum is a place for free tools and knowledge, not piracy.

Re: E54 Tunerlock Help
The OP hasn't been back on the site for a while, but I am sure the information you gave is good. The only thing i'd add is your tampering with the address bus, not the data bus, so the CPU still reads data back, just it's the wrong data. Initially this causes a crash which resets the PCM and runs th...

Re: 424 input
yeah if you look at the pinouts in the pdf that comes with it you can see whats a digital and whats an analog input, and see if you can configure something to make sure the logic behind what youre using triggers a failure, turn of set cel for that error, you could. Injector voltage monitor is there,...

Re: Purchase Kalmaker
Because in workshop (not SP3 which was for the early PCMs only) they have a commercial MAP tune for the later model PCMs, where as we only have extended (enhanced) MAF. Enhanced is capable, but some people still want to tune MAP. If you have tunerpro definitions for editing and logging the Kalmaker ...

Re: 424 input
Yes the '424 computer was used in the VS V8 Auto. It applies where the '424 is used. https://pcmhacking.net/memcals.html As for which pin, Ive got some bad news. I read the manual, and it lists only pin D8 as analog input for wideband for this PCM. You can still use it for whatever you want, but you...
