Re: Reverse Engineering 12587603
12587603 and 12592425 are exact match 12606960 and 12612114 are exact match 7603 and 6960 differ only for the first 2 segments which are engine and engine diag, which will mean all other segments should interchange between the 4 OS numbers on theory. An xdf can confirm the segment match if the tabl...

Re: OS 12606960 XDF File
Just wanted to share a quick observation. I was poking around in TunerPro with this XDF and an unmodified .bin, the fan parameters and they seem to line up, but when I clicked Calibration Info -> Calibration Segment ID it seems things may be shifted or a byte unaccounted for - note the Engine Diag v...

Re: Using XDF from older OS (7603 on 6960)
Today, I used PCM Hammer to flash the 6960 with fan settings added via Universal Patcher. So far, so good. Great to have those tools available to the community.

Re: Using XDF from older OS (7603 on 6960)
Here's the stock/factory 12606960 bin from my 2004 L59 w/3.73 gearing. Still has my VIN in it, but not sure if that's a concern. Maybe it can help someone (persingc and/or Phoenix maybe?) develop a proper XDF. There are definitely differences the further you get into it from 12587603. 12606960-L59-3...

Re: Using XDF from older OS (7603 on 6960)
Yes, I have unmodified bin files for both 7603 and 6960 from my Tahoe I can share. What is the preferred method to do so?Gampy wrote:mattbta,
After you upgraded to 12606960 and before you modified it, did you create a backup ??
And are you willing to share it ??
Thanks

Re: Using XDF from older OS (7603 on 6960)
Ok, modified the stock 6960 bin with Universal Patcher. What does it mean when the logs show a patch loaded (flex, lean cruise)? Stock is L59 flex. Re: Using XDF from older OS (7603 on 6960)
I guess that is a bug with earlier version of firmware you have. Updating via sps to latest version for your bin should fix that bug. Than you can use Universal patcher to add the e-fans mod. https://pcmhacking.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=42&t=7753 What do you mean? I used SPS to try and update ...
