Re: 0411PCM 5v input 12v output at certain range
You might be able to use the CAGS / skip-shift output for this. It's a binary output, and the parameters that control it use both RPM and MAP. Ah ok, thanks for that. I ended up going the Arduino route though. It was pretty easy, $29 UNO R3 board, which already has a 5v output so wired the 5v and g...

Re: 0411PCM 5v input 12v output at certain range
I can't fathom how or why the PCM should be involved in controlling the vacuum pump. You can't just use a 12v relay and a vacuum switch? Something to do with variable timing and low vacuum build up at idle, I also thought it was ridiculous but apparently they use it on Volvo C30/70s, Vauxhaul Astra...

0411PCM 5v input 12v output at certain range
Hi All, My LS1 build is running short of vacuum for the brakes and I've purchased a VF UP28 electric vacuum pump and also got a hold of the Bosch 20876799 vacuum switch to turn the pump on and off. Unfortunately it seems instead of this running a 12v out line to trigger the pump, it looks to use the...

VY BCM / PIM / PCM Trip Computer to Gauge issue
Hi All, I have to swap out my LS1 harness for a new one due to a short that fried a good portion of it and had to go with a standalone harness which needs to be modified to suit my setup where I have the bulk of VY wiring in it including BCM and PIM. I don't use VATS, don't have tractions control or...

Re: PCM Output Voltages - O2 Sensor Issue Diagnosis
Yeah I swapped the plugs around 1 to 3, 5 to 7, but had the same clean/dirty result. I'll try new injectors and another set of spark plugs though to see if there's any difference. Plugs are TR6 as the heads had 30thou shaved off when they were ported. I could try TR55's and see if there's a differen...

Re: PCM Output Voltages - O2 Sensor Issue Diagnosis
Have swapped injectors between banks and see if the problem follows the injectors? Have you swapped coils between bans? Not yet, but I have a set of near new 36lb injectors I could throw in to check. If injectors are firing, and coils are firing, how is it PCM? Need to know injectors are spraying a...

Re: PCM Output Voltages - O2 Sensor Issue Diagnosis
Latest update: All injectors have about 12.4ohms (left and right bank) made up new spark leads, confirmed they were all good, 180 compression on all 4 cold (not that I have a choice at this point) Tested shutting off 1,3,5,7 injectors while running with HPTuners and NO difference in engine. Shut off...

Re: PCM Output Voltages - O2 Sensor Issue Diagnosis
Forget about the cat. Get the engine to run on all 8 cylinders With so many cylinders not firing would explain why you have different temps on the exhaust pipes. If the current engine has not been running for some time you might find #1 and #5 and more fuel injectors have become jammed and not open...

Re: PCM Output Voltages - O2 Sensor Issue Diagnosis
Dtc's? Ohm all the injectors too No DTCs but working from a stock VY Commodore tune setup at the moment. I didn't get a chance to ohm check the injectors yet tomorrow I'll check the bosch part number and find the spec and test them all. I pulled the #5 & #7 plugs though, and strangely one looks...

Re: PCM Output Voltages - O2 Sensor Issue Diagnosis
Kojab, if pins c & d are O2 heater, polarity doesn't matter as it's just a heating resistor. He said he has headers, so prob no cats, but it is a possibility. Yes I understand the heater circuit but best to put the wiring where it should be. People do strange things with wiring. One never knows...
