Re: Anyone using Linux?

I was unable to get it to detect any com ports. Keep in mind though I have never attempted to use Wine for anything and this is probably the first time I have used linux with a GUI in 15 years. I suspect its something with the Wine setup but I have not had the time to experiment yet.

Re: Anyone using Linux?

I have a bunch of old laptops at work. If I get a chance I will give it a try.

Update:
Latest Fedora Live USB with Wine installed from the package manager and updated the latest version of mono. It runs. I'll take it home with me and see if i can brick some ECU's.

Re: Mafless setup with pcm hammer

Take a look at this video. Its for HP Tuners but you should be able to do everything in the open source tools. Just follow the part about failing the MAF sensor and setting the proper DTC's. We usually run speed density on our jeeps...one less sensor to fail when you fill the intake full of water......

Re: Universalpatcher with Logger & Analyzer

I have been experimenting with logging. Made a log on the way to work this morning. When I try the log playback function it loads up the parameters from the log but I get this error: Error, LoadLogFile line 2097: String was not recognized as a valid DateTime. Then if I hit the play button I get: Emp...

Re: PCMLogger (PCMHammer v20) output?

I suspect he is talking about histogram/tables in megalogviewer but I could be wrong. I have just started experimenting with megalogviewer and it looks pretty good. I just dont have any real logs from pcmlogger to feed it yet. If anyone has some sample logs from pcmlogger they want to send me feel f...

Re: PCM Hammer Release 014

Has anyone seen this happen? This was an attempted read from an 03 or 04 silverado on the bench from a friend of mine. The read seems to go fine...check the end of the log for the error messages. This same laptop/OBDX Pro VT can read and write the 0411's just fine. [06:08:40:664] PCM Hammer 014 [06:...

Re: Problems trying to read a 1997 Corvette PCM

I tried this out last week with PCM Hammer just for fun but was not able to read it. The 97/98 ecus are much different so I didn't really expect it to work. Oddly enough GM used these ECU's in 1999-2000 C6500 trucks with the 7.4 before switching to the 0411 in 2001 with the 8.1. We just did a 0411 s...

Not 100% sure where this came from so it may or may not be accurate but possibly handy.
