Ok i started a new thread here for this topic, main reason is im trying to find the commands to clear airbag srs codes on the vs v6. Thanks to you guys for the OSE Enhanced Flash Tool program which has the handy chatter tool, i can now say that plugged in tandom i can capture the tech1 commands. So ...

was my own stupid fault, i didn't set one of the temps, so it was trying to turn off and on at the same time, slaps forehead!

im thinking one the chips was bad, i only tried one then went back to the factory chip, however tonight i tried the same chip in my tech1 cartridge it didn't play ball either, then tried another and it was fine, even though the first chip read and erased fine.

W27C010 no go
Hi all, tried to use a Winbond EEPROM W27C010 for the VS V6 instead of the stock UV FM27C010 but it doesn't like it, fan comes on etc etc, the winbonds i have are 70ns is this not quick enough perhaps? what chips do you guys use?

running a 81c thermo in my car so im using the 16199728_ver2.xdf with BWPJ stock tune and ive changed lean cruise stuff which is working well, i also changed the fan speed cut in out temps but when it reaches the required temp for low fan to cut in it just revs the engine, i will do some more testin...
