Re: What do I need to buy to tune my worked VN 5L?
It was the right way because the last few fields are just filled with 50 after a certain RPM as the engine would never get that high and they are in the right spot.

Re: What do I need to buy to tune my worked VN 5L?
Getting really weird wideband a/f readings. Just spent about an hour copying the VE table from the bin I found on this site "284crane standard injectors" to my $12p standard tune. The bin I copied it from was the older version so I had to add a few values to smooth out the 3d graph. The on...

Re: What do I need to buy to tune my worked VN 5L?
I had no idea how hot it was getting. Only had the standard gauge to go off. It always used to sit on 1/4 and never any higher so when it started to climb (mainly on a warm day) I used to pull over and let it idle and it would come down again slowly. I have just gone a bought a new clutch fan for it...

Re: My VN Calais 5L
Went for the 284 for that same reason. Was going to drive it a fair bit but now it just sits in the garage. The thought even crossed my mind of putting a 5.7 alloy V8 in it but sorta wanted to keep the engine that came with the car. If I am going to make any big changes to the engine now my best opt...

ACL pistons
Shot peened rods

284 crane cam (should have gone bigger)
Block was decked and heads shaved down a bit

Re: What do I need to buy to tune my worked VN 5L?
I couldn't say. This problem started happening just on 12 months ago when I upgraded the exhaust so since then I have had it parked in the garage. I only found out about this site just under a month ago so i didnt have anything to log the data with. All I had was the trusty standard temp gauge in th...
