Re: GM Can to ALDL

all e38's supported dod, but id leave the plug off & never use it. i dont know why anyone would want that shit anyway. I know for certain that in a ve commodore up until 2009, so 07,08,09 gearboxes are inter-changeable. the only proviso being you need to do a full flash of a 9cva box back to an ...

Re: GM Can to ALDL

Motor doesn't matter, L76,L98,LS3 etc is just part differences, it's the controller side that's important. For the vz im working on, I could easily go back to the original OS, as i know what switches need to be changed in the ECU to support the 6l80. The PIM is expecting to get the gear broadcasted ...

Re: E67 to T87/T87A TCM interface needed

I've been going through an E40 os calibration today, I've found similar switches and code structure to what i had to change on the E38 to support the IMS & turn off the NSBU, along with the RX/TX stuff... I put in a standalone controller on couple of VZ Clubby's, so being able to remove that &am...

Re: GM Can to ALDL

I'm working on a vz e38/6lt combo myself. if you check out this thread. https://pcmhacking.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=6820 we kinda divert from the original subject title, but as it's related to can bus and integration of controllers it's kind of on topic. lol. Anyway short jist im going to recommen...

Re: E67 to T87/T87A TCM interface needed

Could it be the difference between a bump in the CAN database version vs what the OS actually cares about? Like the CAN handler needs to know a 7 byte message is valid for error checking purposes, but the OS only reads 6 bytes to look for data that's relevant to it. That was what i was thinking. OS...

Re: E67 to T87/T87A TCM interface needed

Comparison between whats in the OS Segment vs System Segment for a TCM 24239170-RX-BitLength.PNG Obviously OS portion does not change between holden, gmc, corvette platform etc otherwise it would get a different OS number, so the system segment's are changed by the team doing the factory calibration?,...

Re: Turning on Digital Speedo - VY VZ OSE Flash

I'm wondering if it's something to do with some errors I was previously getting about missing files: - COMCTL32.OCX - COMDLG32.OCX - MSCOMM32.OCX I found them online and placed them in the same folder. But maybe they need to be installed somehow? (I'm really not an expert here). I might setup a vir...

Re: T43 TCM programming Issues

they should keep the 2014 valve body, but move the techm/solenoids over. the later valve body is much better.

Re: E67 to T87/T87A TCM interface needed

so the more i look at the RX device index table across various ECM/TCM tunes, the more im starting to think they just changed shit to mess with people and make things more complicated. From previous experience/knowledge when working with gearbox replacements you have to try and keep compatible tunes...
