Re: VN V6 Stumble / Bogging down

..Couldn't find anything visually, neighbour came over and was having a chat gave the engine a rev to find the stumble spot.. and sparks are being thrown just beside the crank angle sensor.. How lucky was that! If it's not causing the problem at least there is on thing to cross off you list lol Tha...

Re: VN V6 Stumble / Bogging down

Since you replaced the plugs/leads 2 months prior... ...Only thing not replaced so far is Plugs / Leads but both were replaced around about 2 months ago roughly with new... I would hold off 'til I did more diagnosis, especially @ $120 a throw. Plus a bad plug or lead is not something you would 'dri...

Re: VN V6 Stumble / Bogging down

Silly question, but assuming you had the DFI main plug off did you tighten the 7mm bolt on it? I once did that on an engine swap and drove around days before it started kicking and backfiring. I was 70km from home and lucky I stopped near a bus depot as they let me borrow a 7mm socket and ratchet t...

Re: VN V6 Stumble / Bogging down

Do you mean it is running fine otherwise apart from the issue? Was just outside tinkering again, So Vac line to Map is on firm ( c...

Re: 95 Hilux ecotec swapped - 808ecu

Not sure what the law is in QLD but NSW if you buy a car privately without certificate you loose the car. Caryard deals you have a legal claim. I had a student once that bought a car and it was taken by the police as suspect stolen because of a dodgy VIN but he got it back because they couldn't pro...

Re: 95 Hilux ecotec swapped - 808ecu

Yeah ive shown all supporting documents, Car was not the guys to legally sell in the first place and he ...

Re: 95 Hilux ecotec swapped - 808ecu

The VN-VR temp sensor is M12 thread iirc, the ecotec one is some NPT thread, 3/8' I think? So you'll have to make an adapter or find a new spot under the thermostat. Don't mount it above the thermostat as it's not always open during operation and will give false cold readings sometimes. Ill probabl...
