Probably good advice.!!

Where is the best location for a single, wideband 'V8' sensor?

Re: Continuous use Wideband O2 Sensor

So the "simulated narrowband output" from the Spartan is exactly the same as the factory O2 sensor and it won't cause any running issues?

Continuous use Wideband O2 Sensor

Hi Chaps I'm running a VR V8 Auto (424) with a few minor mods (Comp, TP dual plane manifold, extractors...) in what will be my daily driver (VK Calais). Is it possible to run (on a continuous basis) a Bosch LSU 4.9 wideband O2 sensor with something like a Spartan Lambda controller and use the 'simul...

Re: Arduino Library

Having said that it shouldnt be hard to write your own. I'd be interested to help. The ALDL data format is known, and the definition can be read out your xdf. Antus, that would be greatly appreciated if you could help out - my programming knowledge is a little basic and I am sure others would love ...

Re: Trans shift point adjustment

Well DTC 22 was the give away.. To quote the Holden V8 Diagnostic Trouble Code list: " The TP Sensor is one of the most important inputs used by the PCM for transient fueling and transmission control and for most of the PCM control outputs " Checking the TPS at 0% the TPS voltage...

Re: Trans shift point adjustment

So here is a quick run of the car which demonstrates it holding the gear.. So something I didn't factor in is the vehicles tacho is still set as a 6 cylinder so showing higher than actual (hence the 4000rpm in my original post). That said, it's still holding 1st and 2nd until 2800 rpm with very ligh...

Trans shift point adjustment

Well I finally have the VR 304 and 4l60e installed into my VK Calais and have been sorting through the teething problems.. :) VK New Engine.jpg One issue I am still having is the trans is up shifting at around 4,000 rpm for each gear. I've spent some time reading a few posts from the forum which see...

Arduino Library

Is anyone aware of a library or project for the arduino that can read/display data from the ALDL connector in real time?

Looking for something for the 424 V8 PCM but haven't found anything yet.. :(

VATS and Fuel pump priming

Quick question: If VATS is still enabled on a vehicle without a BCM, will the fuel pump go through it's 2 second priming cycle or is the PCM essentially just 'dead' until it receives the expected BCM command?
