Re: E38 - Speedo Calibration
yeah i meant seperate read from the controllers. hpt does some wierd shit were options disappear/get added when they are a combined read. tends to happen in the speedo area since both the trans & ecu have similar table settings. My experience with auto combo's is get the speedo working correctl...

Re: GM Can to ALDL
I picked myself up a rough VZ SS (6lt/t42) a couple of weeks ago, so when time permits I'll do the 6l conversion. I believe i can do it just by modifying\redoing the harness since i've done some comparison between the early 06 ve manual/auto & vz e38 tunes & can see whats different in the r...

Re: E38 - Speedo Calibration
Sorry, that was silly of me to leave that out, yes running the 6l80. Do you mean take a read of the E38 on its own without the TCM? I’ve got a read of the E38 on its own, E38 with TCM and another one with E38,TCM & FPCM. I’ve just had a look and all of them look the same on the speedometer page ...

E38 - Speedo Calibration
Hi all, This may be a silly question, however I was wondering if it's possible to modify the no of pulses that the E38 sends out on X1-57? I have fitted a VF ECU to a VZ the ECU details are Main OS 12656930 System 92271525 Speedometer 92271528 Now that I have set the diff and tyre ratio correctly in...

Re: VZ BCM 24C04 read
ok so I've got all the info I wanted now. -BCM Code -Radio Pin -Ign Key No. -Security code (which I got from the PIM) So if I read it in circuit on the board, even though the I2C has on it ATMEL 04B, I get nothing reading it as an 04B, if I read it as 08B, it's blank all the way to 1F0 and I start r...

Re: VZ BCM 24C04 read
Thanks, I've seen that thread, however I wanted to get all the data from the BCM. The device has 04B on it, which in XG Pro always returns FF, but if I select 08B I get data from 200 to 300. It's very consistent with the data it returns, I try changing device ID while set to 08B and it doesn't seem ...

I found a screenshot of carprog and those tick boxes I've circled look like what I may need.

VZ BCM 24C04 read
Hi All, I'm trying to pull a bin from the eeprom on a VZ BCM to get some codes from it but not having luck so far. The BCM is fine and runs, but I want to replace the PIM and need the BCM Code. I'm using a TL866 II Plus with XGPro. The software does an autodetect of the device address to be 0x 10, i...

Re: GM Can to ALDL
did u change the fuel sensor option from 2 to 1? Sure did, but for some reason it still shows fuel sender B issues, it’s like it can’t be disabled, so have to mask the errors instead? Even after changing to single it would list the fault as current, pending, history, permanent. But then after resol...

Re: GM Can to ALDL
I meant dropping the e38 os to something in the 2010/2011 years. 12639270 same deal for the trans - 24256025 or 24256125. you will still need the new pim module to translate late to early can for the dash to work. For the L98 crewman, providing you use a trans os no later then 2009 year the tcm wil...
