Re: FX Holden Race Car Project
That's a special car. Little bit of a shame to see an old classic like that chopped up and modified, but it sounds like you will be giving the old girl a new lease on life, so gotta be happy about that!

Re: Manifold change
Just a couple of basic things that come to mind. Other than the wideband reading does the car run okay? Also, when you calibrated your wideband, did you remove the sensor from the exhaust? Not doing so could cause the calibration to be out.
Re: Subaru's?
I like subarus. It is correct though, that more than any other car I've owned, good servicing is a must. Let it go on them and it will bite you. I have a 2.5 L STi, and it's a great car that responds really well to upgrade/ modifications. They are very safe cars at highway speeds too. If you are buy...

Re: Vlad's rides thread
I think you may be over complicating it. The dipstick tube can be bent. It is crucial that the height of the receptacle is correct, but you could measure that, draw it up, get it made and then weld it. The rest can be easily done later.

Re: Vlad's rides thread
When you say jigging off the original sump, do you mean in terms of getting the height right so the oil marks on the dip stick will be in the correct positions?

Re: Vlad's rides thread
Are you just machining up a receptacle and welding it to the pan?

What did you end up doing about your dip stick with the Eco sump?
