I think you may be over complicating it. The dipstick tube can be bent. It is crucial that the height of the receptacle is correct, but you could measure that, draw it up, get it made and then weld it. The rest can be easily done later.

When you say jigging off the original sump, do you mean in terms of getting the height right so the oil marks on the dip stick will be in the correct positions?

Are you just machining up a receptacle and welding it to the pan?

What did you end up doing about your dip stick with the Eco sump?
