Re: VT V6 into Gemini
Yeah a modified v6 Gemini ute may not be the most practical car to give a young boy, that's why we're building it together so he learns how much work and $$$ goes into a car like this and hopefully develops a good level of respect for it, he's grown up around high powered modified cars/go karts so ...

Re: 12P Flex Fuel Discussion
Google Volumetric Efficiency or search on here. VE is how much air is filling the cylinder. That won't change depending on fuel type. You can increase the VE instead of target AFR to go richer but that's the wrong way to do things and creates trouble in other area's. Yes, but what do you change in ...

Re: 12P Flex Fuel Discussion
Yes, I understand how the different fuels relate back to lambda. My question is how is changing the commanded afr going to change how much fuel you are putting in? Yes, in closed loop and yes if you have wideband VE learn turned on. I run e85 and my wife band displays petrol afrs. It makes no differ...

Re: 12P Flex Fuel Discussion
I don't understand how changing commanded afr is going to work. At any given load point you're going to want pretty much the same commanded afr. Whether your looking at petrol afr or e85 or lambda, the output of the wideband sensor will be the same. To achieve "X" afr with e85 as opposed t...

Re: Toyota Powered VL Calais
^^ That's what I was trying to say, but you put it so much more eloquently. The way I look at it is the VE tables are actually just means for adjusting pulse width at different load points. So flex would require a correction to the number at any specific load point proportional to the output of a fl...

Re: Toyota Powered VL Calais
I don't think it would have anything to do with wide band other than tuning it in the first place. The tune would need to look at differing ve table or correct ve setting at different load points based on a reading off the flex sensor. Well that's my take on it. It would need to adjust spark as well...

Re: Forced vy v6
Yep, but I think you would have to run in outright class with the mods you have. And there is some serious machinery in that class.Holden202T wrote:Gemini count ? hehehe
