Re: LS1 Boost OS V3
I think you've already recommended modifying the dwell rather than setting it to zero. I don't see a huge benefit to doing it. I know it can be harsh, which is why I've added a soft limit via a progressive spark advance adder in V4. This isn't a VW/Audi application and I'm not really sure how that ...

Re: LS1 Boost OS V3
would like to make a few suggestions after looking at the XDF and knowing how the spark cut function works. when spark cut happens we know that dwell time is forced to 0 and this works but may be too harsh for some peoples setups. could a constant be added to allow the dwell time to be adjustable? o...

Re: PCM Hammer Release 021
well the people at scanmatik recognize the problem with their device and it looks like they may work to fix it to make it compatible with PCMhammer! all i did was explain the problem and show them a log from PCMhammer hoping they would understand along with a link to the software on github. honestly...

Re: PCM Hammer Release 021
Whats happening is the tool looks designed as a scan tool (scan matik) which has minimal technical requirements. Slow/standard speed, packet lengths ~ 12 bytes. As soon as you get in to reflash territory - high speed (4x) and large packets (up to 4096 bytes payload plus headers), the cable isn't ma...

Re: PCM Hammer Release 021
honestly i didnt try that low. i'll try it and see what happens.Gampy wrote:How small did you go ??
Probably need to do like 8 + 12, or less, heck do 2 + 12 ... It'll just be really slow!
I've done 1 + 12, it just took 21 hours (or something like that).

Re: PCM Hammer Release 021
well i tried what gampy suggested with no luck. i still get the same error right after it tries to upload the kernel. tried 4 different ECU's. both P01 and P59. i collected a pile of the from my friends junkyard in hopes to do disassembly on them and write some custom code for them. follow up on the...

Re: PCM Hammer Release 021
I agree it does not conform to the standard, and it does not support 4x. I do not know the exact wording of the J2534 J1850VPW buffer size specification off the top of my head, but the specification size is: 4128 bytes. So their VCI does not meet the J2534 J1850VPW specification, or even the J2534 ...

Re: PCM Hammer Release 021
i did try that. the logs are also posted above. they are labeled 4x disabled. It can`t process longer messages. You can try sending smaller size to find what is the limit of the tool, It is capped at 13 bytes, you`d better request a firmware update, since the tool doesn`t fit the j2534 standard. no...

Re: PCM Hammer Release 021
It looks like it does not support VPW 4x mode. Everything looks good until the speed switches up, then there is no more response. So something is going wrong with the communications. Try unticking use 4x in the device settings page to run at 1x speed. It'll be 1/4 of the speed, but it might work. [...
