I would also look at the MAP sensor and wiring.

It's very hard to "see" the pulses/flashing of the noid light when a shorted coolant temp sensor occurs because the light gets so bright.

Used to see a few of these when VN's where much newer. Would randomly short and cause a flood situation.

Wow!! that's great info!!! Where did that come from? I'd love to get that info for my VS Grange to be able to turn it back to stock.

Those still leak out of the gasket material, ask me how I know....

Can't tell from your pics how you have it wired but it should be - Pink 12V, Black earth, Purple/white signal out.

Second that, that wave pattern looks incorrect
