Re: vs 5L flooding and won't start
Thanks for your replies, i will try to get some answers to your questions tomorrow. The one i can answer is that yes i did hear the engine run and drive the car (on and off trailer and into the shed). Apart from low oil pressure and a but knocky it ran, idled and started perfect. Again thanks for yo...

Re: vs 5L flooding and won't start
Thanks Jayme. A harrop inlet with a holley is a tempting fix but i really dont like not being able to find a fault or make something work. Pcm is the long auto one and i would appreciate your advice with setting up an engine light.

Re: vs 5L flooding and won't start
Fuel pressure WAS checked but was done a couple of weeks ago at the same time as the coil, ignition module, map and throttle body were all swapped and checked against known good parts from a borrowed running vs ss parked nose to nose. I dont recall the exact fuel pressure but discounted pressure as ...

Re: vs 5L flooding and won't start
Map sensor is mounted on firewall above the engine and has been tested (i spent a day swapping bits from a borrowed vs) hose is in good nick but have not checked for blockages so will go do that now. Have restricted fuel by crimping the supply or disabling pump and can get engine to fire and run for...

Re: vs 5L flooding and won't start
Injectors are standard and hold pressure with pump off so have ruled out stuck injectors. Tested + at both terminals on injectors with ignition on and injectors pulse (tested with noid light). Vac line from fuel reg is clear. Not sure what you are referring to with ecu driver, is that the ignition m...

Re: vs 5L flooding and won't start
Earth wires are all good and fuel pressure is between 230 - 315kpa as per specs in VS manual. Timing is correct and engine will start and run with manual fuel restriction ie shutting down pump or clamping fuel hose so have ruled out any mechanical problems or stupid stuff like leads on wrong etc.

Re: vs 5L flooding and won't start
Fuel pressure has been checked and is within specs and does not leak down.

Re: vs 5L flooding and won't start
Just checked now and there is 12v to both terminals, have checked previously with noid light and injectors are pulsing. Vac line from reg is clear. Appreciate your help.

Re: vs 5L flooding and won't start
Engine is stock rebuild and ran spot on when it first fired up, have been through everything to make sure there is nothing mechanical wrong and if I manually restrict the fuel it will start now so have pretty much ruled out anything other than electronics.
