after more testing seems like the mpc5777 ecu's e88/e90/e99 etc are open to many areas but the e41 is for what ever reason more locked down and you can only read a very limited sector in ram. Flames out the exhaust will wash your cylinder bores. Very bad idea. Only reason to do spark cut is when you have suplemental and unmetered fueling that could still cause combustion to occur because you are not removing all the fuel going into the cylinder.

it might restart them after boot. its likely watchdog isnt running in the boot recovery mode (if there is one). logic for that might be that if the boot code fails you have a brick, watchdog isnt going to help, and maybe even watchdog will cause problems due to an external factor like something con...

Stepper motor moves as it moves every time I key cycle. I wonder if the command is the same as the broadcast message, which i doubt.
