Struggling to unlock a BIN
Hi all, I am working on a mates car and struggling to get the damn thing to work! All I want to do is remove the VATS, which I believe I have done right, but when I try to start the car it will fire and run for 1-2 seconds and die. First thing I want to ensure is that I have the right XDF and stock ...

Re: W27C512 issues
Yeah makes a huge difference.
Works fine while tuning but note to self.... Always save the entire BIN before flashing to the EEPROM. Saves me a lot of heartache!
Thanks again bud

Re: W27C512 issues
That is the calibration, and its the end of calibration. Go right to the bottom, not half way through. There should be lots of data after that point to run the ECM. If there isnt, then that is your problem. Read a full bin with ose flash tool from the PCM in the car using the NVRAM, or you can do i...

Re: W27C512 issues
Thansk again mate,
I have had a look and it appears the operating system is loaded also.
Maybe I do just have a batch of bad EEPROMS!
I solder them on to the carrier and then load to them. To date I have had nothing but luck with them. Is there an alternative I can start to use in their place?

Re: W27C512 issues
Thanks Antus,
I have attached a pic of the EEPROM that I have been using. I find it hard to believe they could be faulty as it did work previously and now does not.
How do I go about checking the BIN for an operating system? It is not something I have done before.

Re: W27C512 issues
Apologies I had attached the wrong pic, I tried several different chips to see if I could get it to work.

W27C512 issues
Hi all, I have a car that I tuned with $11p and an NVRAM, flashed the BIN over to a W27C512 on the original carrier and the car ran perfectly fine, A week or so later I have used the NVRAM to adjust some transmission settings, erased the W27 and flashed the new BIN over successfully. this time aroun...

Re: $12p corrupt as soon as RW jumper installed
Another update: I am still having issues. I have loaded tunerproRT onto a new laptop, loaded the 12p zip off the forum, loaded the stacked bin on with a chip burner and connected to the ecu no dramas again. As soon as I put the RW jumper on it corrupts the BIN and can no longer connect. I am stuffed...

Re: $12p corrupt as soon as RW jumper installed
I was using 1.5 on the first bin today and 1.8 on the second bin. I don't have an NVRAM here that I can connect to anymore so have to wait for my 2 to rock up from Gareth next week before I can try. I'll loadtunerpro onto a new laptop and try with 1.5 and start fresh
