Re: Possible to read tuned memcal with comms?

Hey guys another quick question, were would I get instructions for soldering the comms to the ECU? Mine arrived without any :( yes it's a genuine PCMhacking.net comms and NVRAM but I bought it from a guy who bought it to tune his car and then lost interest

Re: Possible to read tuned memcal with comms?

And I would like to go a little bigger with the cam but the one I have is fairly street friendly and still allows me to get 1.8 rockers if I choose to it makes fairly good power as is and has run a best of 13.8 @99mph

Re: Possible to read tuned memcal with comms?

Cam is
212@.050
113 LC
And .470 valve lift
If that helps

Thinking I might make two tunes identical with one that drops timing to 30 degrees at 95-100% TPS

Re: Possible to read tuned memcal with comms?

I have a BLCF and APNX bin on my NVRAM Now and just deciding which one to use I may be better off using the BLCF tune to start with, people were saying that the APNX would be better off on a S1 but I presume this is because of the lower comp compared to S2? I think I'll start off with BLCF and chang...

Re: Possible to read tuned memcal with comms?

Yupp gonna have to go pretty easy on it :/ do you think a stock APNX tune will be too aggressive to get a few logs? Or should I drop a few degrees off the high kpa cells?

Re: Possible to read tuned memcal with comms?

Well dry comp test with all plugs out shows 210psi on all 6 with a moderate cam, and yes methanol may be cheaper but it certainly doesn't go as far as 98 hahah

Re: Possible to read tuned memcal with comms?

The moment that a servo close to me puts in an e85 pump I will be ditching the 24lb injectors and installing e85 compatible 42lbs or 60lbs and a 2L surge fed by a compatible intank and 044 out of the surge, best I can do for now is P100 :( closest E85 pump is an hour away and an hours drive to fill ...

Re: Possible to read tuned memcal with comms?

It's a lot for a street car but it was fine for 2 years until I ran 100 shot of gas through it and pushed out one bank then a month or so later it blew between bores on the other side, lesson learned gas, big CR and unknown timing don't mix, although I put a fairly large fuel jet in to try and keep ...

Re: Possible to read tuned memcal with comms?

Cheers delco, that answers that question :) best off starting with a fresh APNX bin and changing it to suit my engine then. Compression is around 11:1 with a moderate cam will the factory bin allow it to run?
